Bruce has been performing marriage ceremonies since his appointment in 1975 in Rockhampton.

He was the youngest and one of the first marriage celebrants appointed in Queensland and has performed thousands of ceremonies in central Queensland and the south east corner (click here to see original Certificate of Appointment).

Bruce is a very down-to-earth man, with a friendly and approachable manner. His background is in the building industry (certifier), and lives on a farm raising cattle and horses.

Bruce's experience as a celebrant

Bruce brings a wealth of experience, he still gets a rush out of doing weddings and considers his role at a couple's special day to be an honour and a privilege.

His focus is on helping to create a relaxing atmosphere for the couple and their guests, by getting to know them first, building a rapport. He uses humour to put people at ease, but maintains the reverence / solemnity and sentiment of the occassion. It helps them to savour their special moments as they exchange vows and become husband and wife.
